Accessibility Statement
Our website is largely accessible and usable by people with various disabilities or impairments.
We are committed to ensuring that all webpages at www.ph-karlsruhe.de and all the web services we offer are accessible to everyone.
We have designed our website in accordance with the guidelines of the Regulation on the Provision of Accessible Information Technology (BITV 2.0) and in compliance with Section 10(1) of the State Disability Equality Act (L-BGG).
Status of compliance with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with Section 10(1) of the L-BGG. The inconsistencies and/or exceptions are listed below.
Content that is not accessible
- Many documents and PDF files available for download on the website are not accessible. This applies in particular to PDF files created before October 2019. More recent PDF files are largely accessible according to established criteria. They therefore do not meet the PDF/UA standard. This compromise is intended to ensure that as many new PDFs as possible are made accessible, rather than optimising only individual documents to meet legal or technical standards due to limited staff resources.
- Accessible descriptions for images (alternative text) or videos (transcripts, subtitles) have not yet been implemented in some cases.
- Our website does not yet feature explanations in German Sign Language.
We are endeavouring to improve and expand our services as soon as possible. If you encounter any non-accessible content, please contact the Central Web Editorial Team. We will then provide you with the content as an accessible document.
