All about university life

Lots of questions, lots of answers

Your first point of contact for any questions about your studies – if you can’t find the answer on our website – is the Student Services Centre, or SSZ for short. The SSZ will support you throughout your studies and has the answers to (almost) everything you want to know.

"And why Karlsruhe?"

To ensure the quality of our teaching, we regularly survey our students on various aspects of their studies at our university. Our lecturers receive top marks, with students describing them as highly competent, dedicated and approachable. Not least because of the manageable size of our university, you will receive excellent support throughout your studies.

What I particularly liked was the practical training in the teaching and learning labs and also at the college. Here, you get a taste of what it’s like to stand in front of a class quite early on in your studies. And if, like me, you enjoy travelling abroad, the college offers plenty of opportunities for study abroad placements and you’re well looked after throughout.

Eine Absolventin

I’d never heard of Karlsruhe before. Although the city is quite big, the university itself is compact, which I really like. You can get anywhere quickly and easily by public transport, and the surrounding area is well connected too, so you don’t necessarily have to live in the city centre. I’ve made new friends quickly and feel really at home here.
