Teacher Training and Subjects

In Karlsruhe, we look back on a tradition of over 200 years as a teacher training college. Here and now, you will learn how to teach in primary schools (Years 1 to 4), lower secondary schools (up to Year 10) and vocational schools – and, if you wish, in a bilingual setting. 

In German schools, as a teacher you need a Master’s degree in education and must also complete a teaching placement (Referendariat).
