Subject: French
The French degree programme comprises five main disciplines: language practice and linguistics, the teaching of French as a foreign language (FLE), as well as literature and cultural studies. During your studies, you will be guided step by step towards acquiring an advanced knowledge of French (at least level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR). In addition, through linguistics seminars, you will learn about the structure of the French language, enabling you to develop a deeper understanding of how it works.
There is a particular focus on practical application: you will be specifically prepared to make your future teaching practice innovative and engaging. This includes, in particular, developing strategies for gamifying lessons and using modern teaching approaches to effectively reach and inspire current and future generations of pupils.
To achieve these goals swiftly, all modules are taught in the target language. At the same time, the programme aims to impart teaching methods that are essential for designing contemporary and practice-oriented FLE lessons, as well as to build a sound knowledge of the literature and culture of Francophone countries.
