Subject: Geography
In the Geography department at Karlsruhe University of Education, we explore spatial issues relating to the contemporary world within both school-based and non-school-based study programmes.
How will climate change affect our (future) living environment? How can housing in urban areas be designed (in the future)? How can you make the process of teaching geographical concepts to pupils sustainable?
If you would like to gain an understanding of these or similar areas of tension in our world, then you are very welcome to join the Geography for Teacher Training programme at the Institute for Transdisciplinary Social Sciences.
Our aim is to critically examine current issues in the world we live in, guided by theory, in order to identify possible solutions and to learn how to shape current social, political and ecological learning processes with pupils.

The Geography Departmental Representative Committee, often referred to as the student council, is a group of geography students that represents the interests of all students studying geography at the university. It often acts as a link between students and lecturers.
